Week End Wrap Up

Fri-yay! It’s finally the end of the week and I’m celebrating by enjoying a well deserved beach day. I also enjoying my friends house down the shore. I don’t really want to leave.

I love the way they set up the seashell lights

So this is my first Friday post and I’m pretty excited.  To wrap up the week, I’m going to go through some fun, sad, crazy, and stuff that just happens to me during the week.  So here we go!

Something I learned:  Figs are polinated by female wasps.  A female wasp will burrow into a fig all the while laying eggs.  At the same time, she pollinates the fig from pollen she has on her from her original host fig.  Once finished, she dies and begins to decompose.  As the eggs hatch, the males mate with the female offspring and begin to dig out of the fig, creating escape routes for the females all the while.  SO….apparently we’re all eating decomposed wasps.

Moment of Joy: This would be today, enjoying a day with a good friend on the beach.  Water is so relaxing and rejuvenating for me.

Fears: I always have a ton of these. Lol.  Yeah Anxiety!!!  Lol.  This week I’ve been worrying about if everything I am doing to get myself to a healthy place; to learn healthy boundaries and to work on myself; is in actuality hurting others. Have I completely fucked up things that could have been good or wonderful to better myself?

I’m also second guessing myself and my interpretation of things.  Apparently this is common with emotional abuse survivors….who knew?!  There’s apparently a lot of us who are messed up.  So many, that they have research for it.

One thing I would Want to Change: This is going to sound so so wrong…but…the amount of pizza I ate this week.  Lol.  I ordered a pie for a friend and I to have on Tuesday.  She had one slice.  Through out the week, I ended up eating th rest of the left overs.  The crazy part….I’m so excited to go get pizza with Mr. Who tomorrow. Lol.

Something I’m Thankful For:  I’ve been able to spend a lot of time with my friends this week.  I can just chill and be myself with them.  I have no need to be “on” or have to be my “best self.” I can just be.

Embarassing Truth:  I never get my mail.  No, I don’t mean it doesn’t get delivered.  I mean I don’t actually go get it.  My mailbox ends up looking like a stacked up pile of past due coupons, old magazines, and letters that may or may not have been sitting there for a month.

Also, I’m well aware of My Little Pony.  You can’t have a niece the age of 6 without knowing the cartoon.  So the moment I choose to call this a wrap up….this is what I thought of….

  1. This week (or should I say last week because it’s Monday now) I learned that I am not invincible and I still am prone to nasty fevers from the children lol. Thank god I’m feeling better and was able to work out, do yoga, and catch up on some overdue blogging today! Feeling accomplished!

  2. I love posts like this.. Iike the personality and the creativity a blogger would put in this kind of posts. The big wrap up is so funny and cool. Between my busy schedule I set to watch comedy movie with my mom and we laugh so hard it gets me joy of having this quality time, away from my adult life.

  3. I love cartoons & i loved My Little Pony when I was little. It’s always great to have a day to yourself to relax and what not and if not a great day at the beach is better than a great day elsewhere, haha. I love pizza!! I’m having a hard time keeping my anxiety under control this week because i’m taking on 2 jobs at once all week. I hope you have a great week.

      1. Scary!! That won’t stop me from eating figs though!! I love a few things during the summer, and figs are one of them.
